MoGo Talk™ FAQ
Can I pair my MoGoTalk with my computer and my Cell Phone?
- Yes. The MoGoTalk Headset can be paired with any Bluetooth enabled phone or computer. It has been tested with dozens of cell phone handsets as well as many computers. The MoGoTalk can be paired with up to 5 devices and will re-connect with the first one it "sees" when started.
What size Eartip should I use?
- Start with the largest eartip that feels comfortable and move to the next smaller one if you find the headset is loose in your ear. Using an eartip that is too small can be uncomfortable due to the depth that the eartip goes into the ear canal.
- Always position the square corner upward to insure retention.
- The SoundshapeTM design almost disappears and you forget that you are wearing a headset yet it will hold the MoGoTalk in place during rigorous movement.
Why are there two types of eartip?
- The flat eartips with ribs are optimized for the Express Card holder so they can fit within a 5mm thick space. They also offer less isolation to allow in more ambient sound which some prefer for safety.
- The more rounded eartips provide better isolation and a fuller sound profile. The light silicone rubber gently conforms to the inside of the ear giving isolation without feeling like a cork is plugged into your ear.
How do I change eartips?
- The eartips are made of rugged silicone rubber. Just pull the eartip gently off of the folding boom. You will see an inner sleeve that fits snugly over a groove at the end of the boom. To install locate the inner sleeve over the tip of the boom and lightly twist and push into place. Twist the ear tip to orient the square corner to the upper side.
How do I clean the eartips?
- The MoGo SoundshapeTM eartips are made of silicone rubber and can be washed with soap and water or wiped with alcohol based sanitizers.
- Replacement SoundshapeTM eartips are available on our web store
How does the automatic volume control work?
- MoGoTalk monitors the level of ambient sound while you are on a call and will raise or lower the volume automatically if the outside sound level increases or decreases. This is very useful when continuing a conversation while moving from inside a quiet car to outside in a noisy environment.
How do I adjust the volume on the MoGoTalk?
- Volume is set using the control on your phone. The automatic volume control makes it less likely that you will need to change the volume once it is set to your liking.
How do I put the MoGoTalk in my ear?
- Chose which ear you want to use and hold the MoGoTalk in that hand.
- Rotate the eartip so the arrow is pointing up
- Rotate the boom to be perpendicular to the MoGoTalk
- Gently push into your ear rotating a bit to angle the eartip upwards.
- Aim the MoGoTalk downward towards your mouth for best microphone performance.
- After the MoGoTalk is positioned in your ear push the front towards your cheek to "click" the boom one notch closer to your face. This stabilizes the MoGoTalk and improves the retention in your ear.
Does MoGoTalk take energy from the battery of my cell phone?
- Current models of MoGoTalk are charged independently of the phone through a separate cable or 'Y' adapter. Stay tuned.
How does the MoGoTalk sound quality compare to other headsets?
- The balanced armature driver in the MoGoTalk offers the same fidelity as top end brands of audio headsets and hearing aids. The compact flat design of the driver allows it to be placed inside the ear without creating the large 'cork-like' sensation that sounds like you are speaking in a jar.
- The frequency response of the Balanced Armature Driver coupled with the SoundshapeTM eartip match the characteristics of the human ear to provide clear speech fidelity at lower volumes than most competing headsets.
