How long is does the battery charge on the MoGo Mouse last?
- PCMCIA: Approximately 8-10 hours of normal usage for the MoGo BT and PC Presenter.
- X54: 2 – 3 days for the X54 Presenter and Media
How long does it take to charge the MoGo Mouse battery?
- It takes approximately 40 minutes to fully charge the mouse.
- 15 minutes of charging will yield several hours of use
What do the Charge Indicators mean?
- PCMCIA: The LED on the BT mouse will turn Green to indicate more than 90% charge. The intelligent battery charger slows the charge rate dramatically above 80% so it can appear that it is taking a long time to charge when in fact it is very nearly full.
- X54: The green charging LED will go out when the charge level reaches 90%.
X54 Appears completely dead
- When the battery is fully charged and the mouse is not connected to a computer it does not display any signs of life. Make sure the switch is on and press the connect button for 5-6 seconds. The Blue LED should start flashing and the mouse is ready to be paired.
What are the types of PC card slots and which MoGo mice are compatible with them?
- The MoGo BT and the PC Presenter use a different type of card slot from , X54 Media and X54 Presenter.
- An ExpressCard/54 slot is needed to charge the MoGo Mouse X54 and X54 Presenter and a PC Card (PCMCIA) slot is needed to charge the Mogo Mouse BT.
- A quick way to check which slot you have is by taking a credit card, holding it flat, and sliding it into the card slot. (If you’ve never used your card slot before, you might need to pull out the plastic filler panel that’s already in your slot.) If the card slides all the way into the slot you have a PCMCIA slot. Cannot find the drivers for the mouse on your website
- The MoGo Mouse need any external drivers. When the mouse is first inserted into the PCMCIA slot, Microsoft Windows tries to find a driver for the device that has been found. (see next Question)
- The MoGo Mouse uses the Bluetooth HID profile which comes pre-installed with the Bluetooth software that came with your computer or Bluetooth adapter. As long as the software is up to date and the device is functioning properly your MoGo Mouse should be able to connect with the PC.
Every time the MoGo Mouse is inserted into the slot, the “Found new hardware” screen pops up.
- Insert the mouse into the slot. In Windows XP Once the “Found new Hardware” screen pops up, select "Yes, this time only" and click NEXT. Click "Install Software Automatically" and Click NEXT once the “Cannot install this hardware” message displays, check "Don't prompt me again…" message and Click "Finish"
- If these steps do not work. Go to the device manager and find the MoGo mouse icon. Right click and select properties and check the "Don't show this message again" box.
I'm pressing the connect button but nothing happens (no quick flashing blue light on the indicator)
- First make sure mouse is fully charged and the kickstand is up/open before proceeding.
- Make sure the connect button is being pressed with a non sharp but pointy object (a pen, pencil, paperclip)
My MoGo Mouse BT does not charge (The battery indicator lights on the mouse never light up).
- First make sure the MoGo Mouse is in the slot all the way with only the indicator LED showing.
- If the mouse is not all the way in the slot, check to see if you have an ExpressCard slot (For more information see above FAQ "Mouse BT and x54 are not compatible")
- Check to see if there is something stuck in the slot preventing a snug connection.
- If you have another device that uses the slot, is it currently functioning properly?
- Make sure the PCMCIA slot and driver are enabled in the device manager
The MoGo Mouse turns off, or hibernates
- Double click the Left or Right mouse button. If the mouse does not reconnect, wait 3 seconds and try again.
- If that does not reconnect the mouse. Check the Bluetooth manager to see if the paired connection has been lost.
- If the connection has been lost, remove the icon, turn off the mouse and repeat pairing procedure.

Pairing procedure does not complete
- Delete the MoGo Mouse icon under Bluetooth manager, turn the mouse off and repeat pairing procedure.
- Make sure the Bluetooth Stack version is the latest by checking the Bluetooth manufacturer's website
Does the MoGo Mouse work with Microsoft® Windows Vista® and Win 7? Where can I find Vista or Win 7 drivers for the mouse?
- No special drivers are needed for the MoGo Mouse to work in Windows Vista. But Bluetooth stack software from the manufacturer needs to support Windows Vista a6architecture.
- Check with the Bluetooth manufacturer that the Stack software supports Vista.
I am having trouble pairing my MoGo Mouse in Microsoft® Windows Vista®.
- First try the official Microsoft Vista pairing instructions.

I have Microsoft® Windows Vista® and when I slide the MoGo Mouse BT into the PCMCIA slot it does not charge (no red or green light turns on).
- Although no drivers should be needed for the mouse to work in Windows Vista, occasionally the operating system does not allow for the MoGo Mouse to charge. When the "Found New Hardware Window appears," you might have to manually select from the list of devices and install the mouse as a general HID Mouse.
- If the screen "Found New Hardware" does not show up, but the mouse still does not charge. Go into Control panel, then Device manager, and then click on computer name, and select scan for hardware changes. Your charging light should now turn on.
I have Microsoft Windows Vista and I installed the “CHIC - Other Hardware - USB Browser Mouse” update, now my mouse does not work.
- Microsoft detected an error in its driver publication engine used by Windows Update during the week of February 11th. As a result, a limited number of incompatible drivers were made available as optional updates on Windows Update.
- Microsoft has implemented a permanent fix, to ensure this will not happen in the future. If installing the CHIC mouse driver has resulted in problem with your system contact Microsoft support at www.support.microsoft.com and choose the Windows Update option or call 1.800.Microsoft.

I have been using the MoGo for over a year now; does the battery ever run out?
- This is a different way of getting to our recharge capability.
- Lithium Polymer batteries will start to exhibit shorter life after about 300 full charge and discharge cycles. Partial discharges do not count as a full cycle so there is no need to fully discharge the mouse each time it is used. The battery should last several years before battery life diminishes to impractical levels.
