MoGo Bluetooth® Adapter FAQ
What Bluetooth Software does the MoGoDapter Support?
- All MoGoDapters should be upgraded right out of the package to Bluetooth 2.0 EDR capability.
- We have recently switched all MoGoDapter software over to the BTW stack from Broadcom. The software can be downloaded directly from their site: http://broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php
- A utiity on the site will check your computer and install the appropriate software for Windows 7, Vista or XP.
Will the MoGoDapter work on a MAC?
- If the operating system is OS X 10.5 or higher the MoGoDapter will work with the installed Bluetooth Software. We do not have Bluetooth software available for older revisions of the Mac OS.
Can I leave the MoGoDapter in the USB Port?
- The MoGoDapter is specially designed to protect the USB connector in your laptop from shocks and direct blows. It can stay in the connector but some care should be taken to avoid extreme bending up and down which may damage the connection of the USB connector on the motherboard of the laptop. A good practice is to put the MoGoDapter in a USB port that is on top when the computer is placed in a computer bag or sleeve.
Will the MoGoDapter support stereo headphones, synching of smartphones and other Bluetooth capabilities beyond the MoGoMouse?
- The MoGoDapter supports all the major Bluetooth ‘Profiles’ once the software is upgraded to the latest version. (see FAQ #1)
